Prior to Thread Capital, Camila was a reporter in two of Raleigh’s newsrooms: The News & Observer, the city’s only daily newspaper, and Qué Pasa, one of Raleigh’s Spanish-language weekly newspapers. Camila graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with two bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Hispanic literature.
Originally from Cali, Colombia, Camila considers herself doubly Southern as she’s lived in North Carolina for most of her life. Camila lives in Durham with her husband, Isaac, and their two dogs, Dexter and Ore. In her free time, Camila likes to lift weights, walk her dogs, and read fiction.
